If you disagree with the price or scope of a claim on your property with your carrier, you have the right to invoke and hire an appraiser to determine the fair cost of the damages done to your property. This process is outside of the control or interference of biased parties and ensures a fair and expert assessment of the claim.

We are not magicians or fraudsters. We will not make up damage that doesn't exist nor ignore damage that is inconvenient or tedious to report. CAS Appraisers are not incompetent or inexperienced.

You need a claims appraiser to give you a fair assessment and price so that you can return your property to pre-claim conditions. Too often a policyholder feels stuck between what their insurance adjuster is saying and what their contractor is saying. You don't have to stay stuck, and you don't have to settle for less than what you're owed.

The state of Texas does not currently license appraisers. However, at CAS we only hire qualified and honest appraisers with proven experience, licensing in Public or Independent Adjusting, and/or certification from respected organizations like TAPIA or IAUA.

The state of Texas legally requires all insurance providers to include an appraisal clause in their policy. It's a right you had all along that most policyholders don't even know about.

**In response to the Texas Legislature Bill 458, The Texas Department of Insurance is currently drafting a standardized set of rules regarding appraisal that will govern how all carriers conduct appraisal. This should be released soon and will ensure a standard and fair process no matter which insurance company you have.
